When we talk about self-care, we don’t just mean eating healthy, drinking water, and exercising. Surrounding yourselves with an environment where you can really relax and unwind at the end of a long day is also tremendously important.

We are visual creatures, the things surrounding us play a very important role in how we feel and basically how we spend the day, this is why the little things like having a clean space with beautiful decor are more important than we think.

Furthermore, this has become a real important factor in recent years with the pandemic that has been going on, and that has made us stay home longer than ever; our homes were basically all we saw for a couple of years.
We’ve all heard the saying “if you look good you feel good”, right?
Well, the same goes for living in a space with a cozy interior that makes you feel comfortable and truly “at home”.

The Process is Important

We all get excited when we visualize things in our mind, and since there are not many things in life that we can control, our spaces are something that we can.

Looking for cute furniture, selecting colors we’d like on the walls, looking up fall room ideas on Pinterest, and basically just getting excited about putting it all together to create beautiful spaces is very good and keeps our minds occupied in a positive way.

Basically, the whole process, from when you decide to make changes, to organizing your ideas and making it all happen, is a form of self-care.

We’re not saying you should have the most expensive designer furniture; this is not about vanity and it is definitely not about having the “perfect” house. The most important thing is to have a place that makes you feel good; where you can dance, be messy, cry yourself out, have deep conversations and fights; be comfortable.
